A little bit about me...

My name is Julie Butler. My family and I live in a small town outside of Tupelo, MS. We’re a larger, blended family with 7 kids and 3 dogs. Our kiddos range from 18 years old all the way down to the baby (he’s 6 but he’ll always be the baby ).

I have done quite a few crafts. I started a few years back with sewing. That went ok but I burnt out quick as I didn’t find as much joy in it as when I was younger. Then, I went to vinyl stickers and that grew into t-shirts, which turned into sublimation that grew into screen prints. I LOOOVED creating custom apparel and gifts for people. I really felt like that was my ‘thing’. But. Covid hit and that came to an abrupt end, sadly.

Fast forward 4 or so years and I fell in love with homesteading and herbalism. I began researching how to live a more ‘green’ lifestyle. I began binging YouTube videos and Facebook groups and all of the books on how to’s and the do’s and dont’s. This is my passion. Living clean. I began making all things sourdough over a year ago and I love the feeling of making instead of buying. I’ve tried my best to spread the knowledge and love as much as I can.

I have always as wanted to make soap. I’ve been in some of my soapy groups for close to 2 years but never took the plunge. As I was scared of the process. The chemicals and the process itself just seemed like it was more than I was capable of. Self doubt is a big ol b*tch lol

Then…back in March I found a HUGE needle embedded in my store bought soap. I did not get a warm response from the multi-billion dollar company when I let them know about it. They reassured me that their facility is top-notch, quality inspected at every turn, blah blah blah. They did everything except take responsibility for it. They sent me a retrieval kit with coupons .… That really kicked my tail into gear! We haven’t bought store brand soap since and never will.

I’ve taken all of the knowledge and lurking over the past couple of years and put them to work.

I do not know why I was so afraid of this

I LOVE SOAPING! Even more than I loved my tshirt business.

I say all of that to say this … the soaps that I make have you, your family, and your skin in mind. I will never make anything, purposely, to hurt anyone. The bars I make and sell to you are the same exact ones my family and I use daily.

Thank you for joining me on this grand adventure. I hope to sprinkle in some homesteading, herbalism, green living, sourdough baking, tincture making, home remedy, mental health awareness and education in with all of this as well.
